Timers
These are one-click countdown timers, one page per length. Open the one you need, press start, and it runs. Each keeps accurate time in a background tab, rings when it finishes, and can be turned into a full pomodoro cycle with breaks if you want one. Nothing to install and no account.
Which length to pick
Short timers do a different job from long ones.
Under five minutes is for things you would otherwise forget: a pomodoro break, tea, a plank, a quick round of a game, a timed drill. The countdown is there so you stop, not so you concentrate.
Ten to twenty minutes is the range for a focused burst on something you have been avoiding. It is also where people with ADHD often find a comfortable focus block, shorter than the classic pomodoro and much easier to start. Pomodoro timer for ADHD covers that.
Twenty-five to fifty minutes is the working core of the pomodoro method. 25 minutes is Cirillo’s original block. 50 minutes is what most people drift toward once they have been doing it a while, especially for reading and writing.
An hour and up is planning territory rather than focus territory: a study hour, a meeting slot, an exam paper, something in the oven. The 90-minute timer matches the 90-minute focus session idea, where one long block replaces several short ones.
Which durations map to which methods
The classic cycle pairs a 25-minute block with a 5-minute break and a 15-minute long break after four rounds. 25/5 pomodoro explains why those numbers.
50/10 pomodoro doubles it for deeper work. The 52/17 rule came out of DeskTime’s activity data rather than any method book. Animedoro swaps the short break for a full episode, which is a much longer rest than any of these.
To run something the list does not cover, the custom timer takes any number of minutes from 1 to 180 and gives you a link to the result. Side-by-side comparisons of the common ratios live on pomodoro intervals.
FAQ
Do these timers need an account or an app?
No. Each one is a plain web page that runs in your browser. There is no sign-up, no download, and no ads. Your settings and session history are stored in your browser and stay there, and the pages work offline once loaded.
Will the timer still ring if I am on another tab?
Yes. Every timer here works from a fixed end time compared against your clock instead of counting ticks, so background throttling cannot slow it down. Turn on browser notifications if you want an alert that shows up over whatever you are looking at.
Can I add breaks to any of these timers?
Yes. Each duration page is the same timer underneath, so you can switch on the short and long break cycle and turn a plain countdown into a pomodoro run. The main timer starts in that mode by default with 25 and 5 minutes.
What if I need a duration that is not listed?
Use the custom timer and type the minutes you want, anywhere from 1 to 180. The setup gets encoded into the page address, so you can bookmark the result or send it to someone and it opens ready to go.
